William “Bill” Ross Orr, 70, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016. He was born in Eugene to William Jennings and Ann Pauline (Eliason) Orr and grew up in Cascadia. Bill moved to Sweet Home in 1969 and spent the remainder of his life at his home on Country Lane.

Bill served in the Air Force as a mechanic from 1963 to 1964, and was a current member of AMVETS. He was also a member of the Elks and Moose lodges and the Veterans’ Club.

Bill owned Double Cross Logging and worked in the timber industry all of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, coin collecting, reading, and having a cold one with family and friends.

He believed in God and is now with his bride and his maker.

Bill is survived by his son, Jeremy Orr, and Jeremy’s wife, Karen, of Sweet Home; his daughter, Jill Hutchins, and her husband, Rick, Sweet Home; and children Dalton, Dillon, Levi, John, Lowell, Tim, Alan, Lacy, and Echo; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Kathleen Alice Miner Orr (April 13, 1999), and his parents, William and Ann Eliason Orr
