Wayne Allan Pruitt, 60, of Lebanon passed away Friday. He was born in Fresno, California to John Franklin and Jessmon (Coonrod) Pruitt.

Wayne graduated from Lebanon High School in 1971. In 1994 he graduated from George Fox College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing/Literature and Human Resource Management Psychology. Wayne lived in Sweet Home off and on from 1972 to 1992 and moved his family to Lebanon in 1992.

Wayne was employed as an Insurance Broker since September 1981 and was also a computer repairman from 1999 to 2009. He attended the New Hope Church in Lebanon. His hobbies were writing, playing chess, and debating politics with family and friends, and he was very interested in fossil hunting, especially ancient fossils.

Wayne is survived by: his son, Adam Pruitt of Lebanon; daughters, Cathleen Pruitt and Christine Reasons of Lebanon; mother, Jessmon Belanger of Sweet Home; sister, Sally Pruitt of Sweet Home; brothers, Steven Pruitt of Lompoc, California, Richard Pruitt of Klamath Falls, John Pruitt of Sweet Home, and Vern Pruitt of Coquille, Oregon, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his brother, Dean Pruitt (1999); sisters, Doris Pruitt (1987) and Bonnie Massingale (1986); and father, John Pruitt (1975).
