Walter Starr, 70, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016. He was born in Denver, Colorado to Mildred Bellemy and raised by his mother and step-father, John Plumee.

He received an Honorable Discharge for his service in the Army from July of 1967 until July of 1973.

Walter enjoyed gold mining, fishing, and growing hot peppers.

He is survived by his niece, Cheryl Almaraz, of Lancaster, California and grand-nieces, Ashley, Amanda, and Annie.
