Rosemary Yoakum, 65, of Cascadia, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. She was born in Salinas, California to Bessie (Combs) and Wallace Shimmon.

Rosemary grew up in Monterey, California. She was the youngest of six children. She married David Yoakum in 1983 in Modesto, California. Together they lived in Antioch, California for 24 years. After David retired, they moved to Cascadia in 2015.

Rosemary loved music, cats, baking and teaching children. Watching her hummingbirds and butterflies gave her great joy.

She is survived by her husband, David; siblings: Bob, Janet, Lorna, Rick and David. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Joey and her parents.
