Rollie Dexter Frederick, 77, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015. He was born in Rawlins, Wyoming to Edward and Josephine (Washbunn) Friederick.

He was born in the car while his family was moving west to Oregon. They settled in the Portland area. He joined and served in the United States Coast Guard as a young man.

Rollie married Wilma in April 1973, and they lived in Bridge. Rollie was once the mayor of Bridge. He and his wife owned a bar in Bridge where Rollie was also the bartender. Rollie and Wilma moved to Sweet Home in 1994. Rollie worked in the Timber industry and, later, for an excavation company. Wilma passed away in 2001.

Rollie enjoyed fishing and crabbing on the Oregon Coast. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grand nieces and nephews.

Rollie is survived by: his nieces, Susan Bauman and Sandra Frederick of Milwaukie; nephews, Dennis Frederick of Cottage Grove and Curtis Frederick of Milwaukie; brothers, Glenn Frederick and his wife, Joanne, of Milwaukie and Leroy Friederick of Beaverton; foster brother, Fred Blatch and his wife, Mary, of Salem; four great nieces; three great nephews; one great, great niece; and two great, great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Frederick, and his parents.
