Roger F. Cleland, 69, of Sweet Home passed away Sunday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. He was born in Compton, California to Clifford and Annetta (Ubben) Cleland.

He served in the United States Air Force.

Roger loved to go camping and ATV riding with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing for family and his many friends. We especially loved his rendition of “The Road Goes on Forever.”

He was happy baking bread for those he loved and spending time in his backyard growing and preserving vegetables that he also loved to share. Roger will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know and love him.

Roger is survived by: his wife, Mimi; mother-in-law, Anita Launder; sons, Robert and Cody Leininger; daughter, Sheri Brister; daughters-in-law, Julie and Jennifer Leininger; brother, John Cleland; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
