Rita T. Coughlin, 86, of Brownsville, Oregon passed away Wednesday, December 13. She was born in Richmond Hill, New York to Dominic and Mary E. (Biondi) Delcore.

She grew up in New York, lived in Connecticut for many years, and then came to Brownsville to be with her daughter, Tracey Branche-Barth, in May of 2015 so her daughter could help care for her.

Rita had many jobs over the years, but her biggest and most rewarding job was being kind to any person she came in contact with. She was known as a “Best Friend” to so many women across the country, “Momma Bear” to many, many folks of a younger generation, and “Comedian” because she had an amazing, quit-witted sense of humor that brought smiles and laughs that could be heard across a room.

She loved reading and writing letters to people all over the country. She always reached out to make people feel good and be acknowledged. She was an angel in disguise.

Rita is survived by daughters Tracey Branche-Barth of Brownsville and Lori Hudnall of Clinton, Connecticut; grandchildren Charles Hudnall of Hamden, Connecticut and Christopher S. Branche and Adrianne N. Sanders of Beaverton.

The family will have a private service at a future date.
