Rex Eugene Kropf, 78, of Brownsville, Oregon passed away Monday. Rex was born June 3, 1942 in Eugene to John Paul and Blanche Maxine (Esch) Kropf. His siblings Darlene, Elton, Gary and Sharon completed the Kropf family.

He married Marilyn Stutzman June 14, 1962. Their children are Dale, Steven (Carmen Smith), Karla (Jeff Johnson), Edward (Michelle Cross) and Jody (Michelle Bates), all of Oregon. Rex is Papa to twelve loving grandkids.

Rex had more careers and eclectic positions than can be recalled, but his most meaningful jobs were full-time husband, Dad and Papa. Rex and Marilyn owned the Brownsville General Store from 1986 to 1996 with homemade food and antiques.

Rex loved his community. His service included board positions with the Brownsville Rural Fire District and East Linn Christian Academy as well as roles in Brownsville community churches.

Rex passed away December 28th at home with family. He was bedridden the last couple of years, but never complained. He was grateful and at peace because of his faith in God.
