Ralph W. Cornish, 85, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021. He was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Ralph Woodrow and Ruby Irene (Blackwell). He came to Sweet Home from Enid, Oklahoma after the death of his beloved wife of 46 years, Joyce Ann (Sparks) Cornish.

Ralph worked and retired from the Enid Fire Department, beginning as a firefighter and advancing to the staff position as secretary. After retirement, Ralph worked for the Oklahoma Blood Institute. Ralph attended Abundant Life Temple in Enid, Oklahoma, where he served as Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and Music Director. He was a member of the Abundant Life Quartet and founder of the Enid Community Gospel Sing.

He enjoyed singing with his guitar for and with people. He also enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

Ralph is survived by his children, Edward and his wife, Cheryl Cornish, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Rhonda Joyner of Sweet Home, and Jerry and his wife, Donna Cornish, of Mesquite, Texas; sister, Leah Kay Jones, of Knowles, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Joyce Ann Cornish, in 2006; brother, James Cornish; father, Ralph Woodrow Cornish; mother, Ruby Irene (Blackwell) Cornish; and grandson, Joshua Phares, in 2020.
