Phillip Forrest Shupp, 74, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on September 29, 2020. He was born in Kingman, Arizona to Phillip and Dorothy (Casad) Shupp.

He spent his childhood in Los Angeles and Venice, California. As an adult, he moved to Florence, Oregon where he met his sweetheart of thirty-nine years. They built a life together in Salem, and then moved into their dream home in Cascadia in the early 1990’s.

Phil had many hobbies from childhood through adulthood, which included raising prized pigeons, family vacations on Catalina Island, customizing model cars, cooking, horticulture, motorcycles, and traveling.

Phil was a talented auto body and paint technician for most of his life, spent some time on the road as a long-haul truck driver, and retired to his A-frame in the mountains.

He is survived by his “Sweetheart,” Donna Shupp of Cascadia; daughters Andrea McGhee of Olympia, Washington and Serena Buckley of Lake Dallas, Texas; sons Tom Cox of Cascadia and Darin Lyons of Lake Forest, California; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters Susan Weathers of Florence and Denise Young of Newbury Park, California; as well as nieces and nephews.

Phil was a gentle soul, kind, and patient who will be missed by those blessed with knowing him.
