Marie Annette Seiber, 75, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Saturday, December 9. She was born in Tacoma, Washington to Elbert and Mildred (Larson) Bowen.

Her family moved to Sweet Home where she attended elementary and senior schools.

Her hobbies included gardening and growing flowers. She worked as a flagger, waitress, custodian, and homemaker.

On March 28, 1969, she married James R. Seiber. Together, they raised seven children.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, James; children Brenda Seiber-Graber of Sweet Home, Ken Seiber of Bend, Dean Triplett of Albany, Daryl Triplett of Sweet Home, Gayle Seiber-Giddings of Lebanon, John Metzer of LaPine, and Tanya Colgan-Ramoz of Newport; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters MaryLou Vaughn of Sweet Home and Sherry Lee of Lebanon; and her 28-pound kitty, Steve Martin, that she rescued from the animal shelter in LaPine.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Joanne and Barbara; and brothers Kenneth and Gerald “Butch.”

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 15, at Sweet Home Mennonite Church. A luncheon will follow the service.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
