Madeline “Kandie” Joyce Barnes, 82, of Brownsville passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026. She was born on December 5, 1943 to Esther C. (Ellsworth) and Fern H. Ungles in Trenton, Nebraska.

Kandie married Thomas Barnes. They moved around alot because he served in the Army for 20 years. They lived in the Goble and Medford areas. The settled in Newberg and lived their last years in Eugene.

Kandie loved to dance and enjoyed watching movies.

She is survived by her children: David Allegar of Brownsville, Dale Allegar of McMinnville, Angela Creech of Eugene, Kevin Barnes of Brownsville, Bradley Barnes of Mollalla, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Barnes (2025).
