Lucy Marie Thompson, 84, of Brownsville, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026. She was born in Curtis, Michigan to Martha (Elsner) and Gustav Abram.

She attended Curtis Grade School and graduated from Newberry High School. She moved from Michigan to Oregon in 1963. After graduating, Lucy went to Linn Benton Community College and studied agriculture, soil and trees. She worked at Linn County Extension Service, a seed plant, U.S. Commerce Department and was a mail carrier for the US Postal Service.

She enjoyed gardening and working with the Christmas trees. She hunted and was a well known fishing legend out of the port of Newport.

Lucy is survived by her children: Niki, Kevin and Chris; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
