Lottie E. McGuire, 66, of Sweet Home passed away Friday, February 15, 2013. She was born in Auburn, California to Virgil Leon and Clara Elva (Oller) Wilson.

Lottie married W. Duane McGuire in Lincoln, California in 1964. From there, they moved to Roseville, California, then to Great Falls, Montana, and eventually to Sweet Home in 1988.

Lottie worked at the school library, at a business office, and owned a daycare. She worked for several transportation companies and her last employer was Van Dyke Trucking. Lottie loved going to work every day. She always had a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eye.

She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Lottie loved to cook, sew, quilt, craft, and paint and was a never ending source of talent. She loved people and was always willing to help others. Lottie’s door was open to those in need and her arms were open with a hug. Her love for the Lord and joy for living will forever be remembered.

Lottie is survived by: her husband, W. Duane McGuire; children, Gary McGuire and wife Amber and Catherine Kotzian and husband Richard; and grandchildren, David Langley, Ashley Langley, Amber Langley, Daniel Langley, and Garrett McGuire.

A memorial service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Sweet Home Assembly of God Church.
