Lorie Lynn (Evans) Comstock, 45, of Sweet Home passed away Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis. She was born in Salem, Oregon to Clifford and Jacqulyn (Zumwalt) Evans.

Lorie grew up and attended schools in Salem. In 1986, she moved to Corvallis to work for her father as a dispatcher for Beaver Cab.

Lorie married Michael L. Comstock June 9, 1996 in Fallon, Nevada. They moved from Fallon to Sweet Home in 2003.

As a youngster, Lorie loved roller skating and riding horses. As an adult, she graduated to computer activities, camping and fishing, although she never caught anything other than trees!

Lorie was a homemaker who loved caring for her family. She loved being a Mom and spending time with her children. Lorie adored watching and cheering for her sons at their sporting events. Lorie and her family were tireless volunteers at countless Red, White & Blue Riverfront Festivals in Corvallis. She was a member of the Sweet Home First Baptist Church.

Lorie is survived by: her husband, Michael; sons, Garret Roosa of Reno, NV and Jake Nevada and Jesse Lee Evans-Comstock of Sweet Home; daughter, Jennifer Marie Elizabeth Comstock of Sweet Home; brothers, LeRoy Evans of Washington and Gary Evans of Corvallis; sisters, Janet and husband Larry Evans-Reed of Strathmore, California, and Marie “Pogo” Evans; nieces, Danielle and Megan Evans of Corvallis; nephew, Cody Evans of Las Vegas, Nevada; great nephew and niece; aunts, Linda (Irving) Zumwalt-De Matties of Queensbury, New York and Lois Comstock of Creswell, Oregon; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, in-laws, and her niece, Carrie.

Memorial service will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 25, at First Baptist Church in Sweet Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
