Viewing will be at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel, 1443 Long Street, Sunday, October 3, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Sweet Home Church of Christ, 1825 Long Street, at 1:00 pm Monday, October 4, 2010. Burial will take place at Gilliland Cemetery, Sweet Home in a grave beside her first husband.

Lola Esther Wycoff was born April 13, 1919 in Davizes, Norton County, Kansas to Hazel R. and Bessie L. (Brown) Wycoff. She attended schools in Norton County, Kansas. She died September 29, 2010 in Sweet Home, Oregon at the age of 91 years.

She was married March 12, 1935 in Oberlin, Kansas to Clifford C. Nicholson. They moved to Nebraska, near Wilsonville and lived there till moving to Lebanon, Nebraska in 1946. They moved to Medford, Oregon in 1948 and to Sweet Home, Oregon in 1950.

After Clifford’s death in 1979, Lola married Arnold B. Grill. They were only married a few months when he died. She moved to Lebanon, Oregon in 1984 and lived there till going into the Sweet Home Nursing Home in 2009.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Floyd, as an infant; both husbands; daughter, Jeanette Seiber; grandchildren, Alan Seiber, Ron Black, and Tammy Nicholson Whisenanet; and step-daughter, Judy Grill Wodtli.

She is survived by: brother, Vernon (Lois) Wycoff and family of Papillion, NE; daughters, Nadine (Jim) Barker of Lebanon, Oregon, Elaine (Earl) Harcrow of Sweet Home, Oregon, and Rita (Ted) Holder of Cottage Grove; son, Everett (Pat) Nicholson of Salem, Oregon; and step-son, Ron (Lee) Grill and family of Sweet Home; and many other relatives. She is also survived by: 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 33 great, great grandchildren; and numerous step-grand and great grandchildren.
