Leo Deen Bennett, 91, of Corvallis, a long time resident of Sweet Home passed away Friday September 9, 2022. He was born in Lebanon to Norval and Lucille (Whitworth) Bennett.

He grew up in Foster and graduated from Sweet Home High School Class of 1949. He married Barbara Jean Marchbanks on December 3, 1950 and had two children. Charlotte was born on October 9, 1953 and Gary was born on June 29, 1956.

Leo worked in the lumber industry at Santiam Lumber, then Willamette Industries as an electrician and then a maintenance supervisor until he retired in 1990.

Leo is survived by his wife of 71 years, Barbara; son Gary and his wife Janelle (Updegrave) Bennett; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one and a half great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Charlotte Rodgers.
