Lee Ray Taylor, 66, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Friday, March 8, 2019. He was born in Eugene to Richard and Jean (Banta) Taylor.

He grew up and lived in McKenzie Bridge until his 20s when he moved to Springfield. He met his wife, Judy, in 1981, and they married in 1988. Their only child, Kayla, was born in 1982. They moved to Sweet Home in 1993.

Lee loved his job driving log trucks. He drove for over 43 years and never thought of ever doing anything else. He drove for Russ Totman and Jim Melcher. His favorite boss was Joe Hudspeth of Prineville.

He loved watching NASCAR, the Boston Red Sox, and golf.

Lee is survived by his wife, Judy Taylor, of Sweet Home; daughter Kayla White-Taylor of Sweet Home; brother Dale; sister Barb; grandson Jace Moore of Sweet Home; and granddaughter Tonja Moore of Sweet Home.

He was preceded inn death by his parents, Richard in 2018 and Jean in 2011.

A celebration will be held next month.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
