Kinnon Ray Slaughter, 60, of Sweet Home, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023. He was born November 21, 1962 to Irene (Thomas) and Samuel R Slaughter in Lebanon, Oregon.

He was raised in Sweet Home and grew up on Hwy 228. He most recently resided in Foster with is wife Karen and dog Jade.

Kinnon was a diesel mechanic. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed trapping when he was younger, fished for salmon and steelhead on the Santiam River, fished for salmon in the ocean at Yaquina Bay in Newport. He hunted for elk and deer around Sweet Home and Eastern Oregon. Out of all the wild game he harvested there were two bull elk within a half mile from his home. He enjoyed camping and drifting the river.

He is survived by his wife Karen of Foster, sister Linda Pitts of Sweet Home, loving stepfather to Brandon (Amanda) Speck of Burns, and three grandchildren, Skyler Speck of Foster, Belle and Riley Speck of Burns. Preceded in death by parents Samuel and Irene Slaughter, four month old grandson Tate Michael Speck (2001).
