Kenneth LeRoy Krell, 74, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife nearby. He was born in Plankinton, South Dakota to Clarence and Mildred (Doran) Krell.

Ken attended school with his favorite cousins in the Plankinton area. He went on to become a lineman with 46 years in the I.B.E.W. and, after traveling to numerous states for work, settled in Sweet Home to be close to family.

During his 12 years of retirement, Ken was always proud to point out the power lines he helped build. From power lines to fishing line, Ken was passionate about the things he loved. He was a fishing fanatic and enjoyed spending time on the boat with his fishing buddies trying to catch the big one. He especially loved to fish for salmon and walleye. His other hobbies included bowling, hunting, and classic cars.

Ken is survived by his best friend and wife, Lynda; son Curtis Krell and companion Julie Beamer; brother Wayne and wife Phyllis Krell; niece Pam and husband Randy Stainbrook of Rapid City, South Dakota; son Randy and wife Lorrie Krell of Billings, Montana; daughter Kim Hayes of Billings, Montana; and his dog, Velvet.

A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, at Lewis Cemetery in Foster.
