Joyce Mae Posey, 58, of Lebanon, Oregon passed away Tuesday, July 5. She as born in St. Louis, Missouri to Grant and Goldie Mae (Leach) Posey.

When she was four months old, her family moved to Coos Bay where Joyce spent most of her life. She moved to Lebanon in 1991 and lived there until her death.

Joyce worked as a caregiver and cook for the Mennonite Home in Albany. She then worked as a Lumber Grader for a mill in Scio until she could no longer work.

She enjoyed camping, puzzles, and reading. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Joyce is survived by children Selena Choate of Redding, California, Angela Prosa of Albany, and Michael Sherado of Lebanon; mother Arlene Posey of Scottsdale, Arizona; brother Michael West of Washington; sisters Katherine Fisk of Missouri and Karen of California; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Goldie Posey, in 1970 and father, Grant Posey, in 1995.
