John Franklin Scott, 80, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday. He was born in McMinnville to Delbert C. and Viola (Wolf) Scott.

He lived in Otis in his early years but other than times he worked in Alaska he spent his school years in Sweet Home.

John served in the United States Air Force from 1960 – 1966.

He was a logger like most of his family. He was a Skidder operator at first and then later a timber faller.

John is survived by his wife Sue; his adoring children: grandchildren; great grandchildren; cousin Kay and her husband Dennis (who happened to be his best friend from High School); and their buddy Tom White “The 3 Amigos”.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Delbert and Viola Scott.
