Jerry Ted Miller, 76, of Albany, Oregon, formerly of Toledo, passed away Monday, September 29. He was born in Ridgely, Tennesse to Hoyt and Madge (Cook) Miller.

He served in the United States Air Force for eight years and was honorably discharged on September 12, 1963.

Jerry grew up with Elvis and recorded the first version of “Thats all right Momma.” He played guitar, harmonica, and banjo and had an amazing singing voice. As a young boy, Jerry was offered a role in the original ‘Little Rascals’ production, but declined because he was too nervous.

He lived in Albany and Toledo Oregon. He loved fishing and hunting. He was a master black belt in Kempo Karate, Judo, and Tae Kwon Do. He was a big prankster and was always playing jokes on people.

Jerry was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and great grandfather. He took in and “adopted” many kids who needed a home.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Miller of Albany; daughters Connie and her husband, Darin Spalinger, of Albany, Tammy Miller of Sydney, Australia, and Sherry Hummel of Waldport; son Danny Miller of Washington; brother Robert Miller; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by: his parents; one son; one son-in-law; one brother; and one great grandchild.
