Jerrene Hyde, age 81, of Sweet Home went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 12. She was born in Seattle, Washington to Florence and Herman Holm. She graduated from Seattle King County High School in Seattle, Washington.

Jerrene worked on the Ferry’s as a waitress in Seattle. She also worked at Boeing Air Field as a Riveter during WWII.

She married Wayne Earl Hyde in 1944. They moved to Sweet Home in 1955 where she worked as a cook and a waitress for many years. Jerrene loved to cook and care for others.

She attended the Sweet Home Church of Christ at 18th and Long Street and was baptized there in 1962. She was also a member of the Sweet Home and Idaho Ladies VFW Auxiliary Jerrene loved her church family. In addition she loved fishing and camping with her family. Her favorite place was the Oregon Coast.

She is survived by Loraine Eaton of Bothell, Washington; daughter, Bonnie Evans, of Sweet Home; and daughter-in-law, Laura Hyde, of Albany, Oregon; grandchildren: Curtis Hyde of Albany, Robert Hyde of Washington, Dena Williams, Denise McQuiston of Sweet Home, Dennis Williams of Eugene; and ten great grandchildren that she loved.

Jerrene was preceded in death by her son, Wayne E. Hyde, Jr., of Albany, Oregon and husband, Wayne E. Hyde, Sr., of Sweet Home, Oregon.

A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
