Janey Katherine Smith, 70, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Monday, July 3. She was born in Ketchikan, Alaska to Maxwell and Lillian (Petersen) Newman.

She lived in Ketchikan, Anacortes, Vernonia, and Sweet Home.

Janey is survived by her brothers of Petersburg, Alaksa.

She was preceded in death by her brother, mother, and father.
