James Laurance Wilcox, 72, of Sweet Home passed away on October 25, 2026. He was born June 21, 1954 to Patricia (Tyler) and Walter Wilcox in Lebanon.

He lived most of his life in Sweet Home and was a long time member of Holley Church. He never met a stranger and always had a greeting and smile for everyone.

He loved fishing, yardwork, gardening, woodwork, collecting and tumbling rocks. James liked football and was a huge OSU Beaver fan. He enjoyed science fiction books and movies.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lori Wilcox of Sweet Home; daughters: Hollie Wilcox of Ware, MA, Kristina (Steve) Pyle of Lebanon, Andrea (Foster) Martinson of Lebanon; four grandsons, two step granddaughters; brothers: Mike (Fonda) Wilcox, Bill (Paulina) Wilcox, sister Edith Wilcox and partner Steve; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter Wilcox (2010), Patricia Wilcox (2012), brother Christopher Wilcox (2025).
