James Jay Walker, 75, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Thursday, September 22, at his home. He was born in Orlando, Florida to Ding and Dorothy (Marotz) Walker.

Jay grew up in Clayton, California where he worked for and retired from Pacific Gas and Electric Company. He worked as a lineman. He relocated to Oregon after retirement.

Jay was an amateur radio operator in California under the call letters K6RTT. When he moved to Oregon, he eventually changed his call to W7RTT.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping with his friends. He will be missed by his family and his fellow hams and friends.

Jay is survived by brother Connie Walker of New England; sisters Dawn Lieder of Virginia and Sharon Brooks of Arizona; uncle Charles Marotz of California; and Aunt Elsie Manzer of California.

He was preceded in death by his father, Adelbert Walker, of Oregon and mother, Dorothy Johnson, of Tennessee.
