Jack Leroy Pellett, 80, of Alsea, Oregon passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Riverbend Medical Center. He was born in Kelso, Washington to Joseph and Lucy (Peacock) Pellett.

Jack was raised in Kelso, served four years in the military, then married Joan Ritchey of Alsea. Jack loved fishing, camping, and hunting more than life itself. He loved to share his stories about his adventures. Jack’s primary occupation was logging, but he was a highly skilled carpenter, electrician, excavator, plumber, welder, mechanic, painter, and gardener, and he cooked a mean pot of chili. He truly was a Jack of all trades.

He is survived by children Mike, Kenny, Kelly, and Donnie; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan, in 2015.

A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 11, at Alsea Grange Hall. Final burial and military honors will follow at Alsea Cemetery.
