Howard Melvin Arms, 94, of Foster passed away Wednesday. He was born in Vinita, Oklahoma to John Moses and Iva Jane (Young) Arms.

He served in the United States Army. He lived in Oklahoma and Texas before settling in Sweet Home in 1958.

Howard was a certified welder at the age of 16, drilled for water for 35 years, witched for water, drove school bus for Sweet Home and worked in a paper mill.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved playing “Bump” (a dice and marble game) and spending time with family.

Howard is survived by his wife Bridget M. Arms; daughter Charolette Schilling; ten grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Chris Arms; grandson Matthew Schilling; mother and father; and all of his brothers and sisters.
