Glenna Maxine Allen, 85, of Sweet Home died peacefully at Evergreen Hospice on Tuesday. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Arthur and Lula (McNease) Dye.

Glenna shared over 40 years of marriage with Elbert Allen. They moved to Medford and eventually retired in Lakeside. They were blessed with three children, Joe, Barbara, and Diane. After surviving her husband, she moved to Sweet Home to be closer to her children and grandchildren.

Glenna was an incredibly talented seamstress. She loved to quilt, bake, and was a deaconess to the Church of Christ.

Reading was a hobby and she loved to study her Bible. She generously contributed her time to the Senior Center and the TOPS Club. When she wasn’t contributing her time and talent she was pouring her heart into her loved ones.

She is survived by: her son, Joe Allen of Sherwood; and daughters, Barbara Cole of Oregon City and Diane Wilkie of Sweet Home; sister, Sammie Lou of Snelling, California; and brother, Max of Strathmore, California; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six nieces; and her dearest friends.

Her life will be celebrated at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel in a private service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
