Gladys Wilma Wilken, age 87, passed away Sunday. She was born in Mabel, Oregon; the youngest child of Evan and Mary Troxel.

Gladys spent her early years in the Pendleton, Oregon area. At age 16, she married Bradley Baker. They had four daughters and a son. After Bradley’s death in 1969, she moved to Walla Walla, Washington, where she met and married Ben Wilken. Ben and Wilma adopted another daughter, Elizabeth.

Wilma worked for many years in Pendleton area hospitals. She was a long time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her church service included Relief Society secretary, Sunday School teaching, missionary work, home teaching, genealogy teaching, personal genealogy research, and visiting teaching.

Wilma is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Roberta McCann of Pendleton, Oregon, Rita and Don Osborn of Lebanon, Oregon, Donna and Eric Anderson of Spokane, Washington, Judy Wallace of Sweet Home, Oregon, and Elizabeth Davis of Foster, Oregon; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 10 great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Bradley Baker and Ben Wilken, and son, Johnny.

Viewing will be 12:00 to 12:40 p.m., Saturday, September 27, in the Relief Society at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sweet Home.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, in the Chapel at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Final Burial will be at Gilliland Cemetery.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling services.
