Gerald Paul Shaver, 61, of Sweet Home, passed away Thursday March 12, 2026. He was born November 28, 1964 to Anitra Mary (Cornwell) and Elgie Earl Shaver in Orange County, California.

He previously lived in Spokane, Washington, Fernwood and Worley Idaho, Kansas, California and came to Sweet Home in 2013.

Gerald was a carpenter. He was a christian and spent time at the Nazarene Church. He loved to fish and liked to work on old vehicles. He enjoyed spending time with his dog Oreo. He helped cook and deliver food to the homeless.

He is survived by his siblings: Barbara Ross of Albany, Joe Hill of Seattle, Elgie Shaver and Darlene Shaver; stepsons Joe and Jarome, ex-wife Raynetta Hubbard; good friends Cliff and Ginny Cotter; lots of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Edward (1981), brothers Ken, Reuben, Mac, Leander Shaver, and Jerry Harding.

A memorial will be 1 pm, Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the Church of Nazarene in Sweet Home. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. www.sweethomefuneral.com.
