Frances Gaskey Hughes, 97, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021. She was born in Wright City, Oklahoma to John Columbus and Nettie Mae (Tollett) Parker.

She lived in Wright City, Oklahoma until 1948 when she moved to Sweet Home before moving to a farm in Crawfordsville in 1961. After her divorce in 1976, she moved to Lebanon and then back to Sweet Home in 1997. She moved to The Oaks in Lebanon in 2018 where she remained until her death.

Frances owned and operated Fran’s Beauty Salon in Lebanon for 20 years. She attended the Sweet Home Assembly of God in Sweet Home. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary #51 in Lebanon.

She enjoyed traveling, dance, and crocheting. She loved family gatherings.

Frances is survived by daughters Charlene (Rich) Adams and Brenda (Ervin) Dirks of Sweet Home; son John Ed (Lezlie) Gaskey of Prineville; half-sister Mary Parker; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; sixteen great, great grandchildren; and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. Parker in 1973 and Mae Parker in 1986; sisters Hazel Chambers, Lorene McFarland, and Mary Lee Hays; half-brothers John C. Parker, Jr. and L.C. Parker; and ex-husband Delbert J. Gaskey in 2005.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at Harvest Christian Church in Sweet Home.
