Euphemia “Faye” James, 84, passed away in Sweet Home, Oregon Tuesday, July 16, 2013. She was born in Stillwell, Oklahoma to John and Ruth (Palone) Charles.

Faye attended Piney School in Adair County, Oklahoma through the seventh grade, and then moved with her family to Klamath Falls, Oregon. She graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1947. She eventually retired in 1991 from the State of Oregon offices in Klamath Falls.

She is survived by: her daughter, Janet Andrews of Sweet Home; sister, Deanna Sherman of Klamath Falls; nephews, Jesse Wilder of Klamath Falls and Mike and Rex Ledbetter of Medford; and her loving cousins and in-laws.

Faye was preceded in death by: her parents, John and Ruth Charles; sister, Louella Northcutt; husband, Dalton James; and first husband, Al Hakenwerth — all of whom resided in Klamath Falls at some point.

With respect for Faye’s wishes, there will be no services. Final burial will take place at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens in Klamath Falls.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
