Elsie Virginia (McTimmonds) Emmert, age 84, of Manvel, Texas, passed away December 6, 2007. She was born February 18, 1923 in Sweet Home, Oregon to Elmer and Clysta (Nice) McTimmonds.

On June 8, 1941 she married Willis Floyd Emmert (deceased). On October 5, 1977, she married George Emmert.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Emmert; parents; four sisters: Mabel Sullivan, Twila Emmert, Hazel Daniels and Audrey Miller; son-in-law, Nick Neely; and stepson, Kenney Emmert.

She is survived by her daughters: Dorene Neely of Manvel, Texas, Shirley Neely and husband L.D. of Pearland, Texas, Carolyn Burkholder and husband Donald of Grand Junction, Colorado; son, Duane Emmert and wife Linda of Fairbanks, Alaska; stepdaughters, Gertrude Resser and Ailene Estes; sisters, Iris Birkey and Sara Chupp; brother, Berle McTimmonds; ten grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

The Visitation was held Sunday, December 9, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Service followed at 2:00 p.m. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Drive (FM 518), Friendswood, Texas 77546, (281) 992-7200, www.jeterfuneralhome.com with Rev. Tracy Stone officiating.
