Reece was a big contributor to the St. Jude Foundation, which he was quite passionate about for those would like to make a donation in memory of him.

E. Reece Joyce, 93, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on June 3, 1923 to Ernest and Josephine (Green) Joyce. He was one of ten siblings.

He moved out on his own at 16 when he got a job working on a farm. In 1943, Reece was drafted into the army and served as an engineer until he was honorably discharged after the war ended in 1945. He had various jobs throughout his life, among them being a groundskeeper, of which he had a particular fondness.

Reece thoroughly enjoyed gardening and fishing, as well as reading a good ol’ western novel. He will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jesse Joyce (Cheek); daughter Icle; son Curt; step-children Susan and Ken; siblings Bill, Chuck, Jim, Betty, and Dotti; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
