Donald Wayne Chapman, 71, of Sweet Home passed away Friday. He was born in Los Angeles, California to William and Myrtle Chapman.

Donald lived in Los Angeles until he moved to Sweet Home in 2005. He started working for the fastener industry right out of high school. He remained in that industry throughout his life.

Donald met Darlene Meeker at work. They married and raised two daughters. They later divorced, but remained forever good friends.

Donald loved casinos and slot machines. He was a movie buff and loved collecting signatures and memorabilia. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of a league in Los Angeles. He loved his daughters and his pets.

Donald is survived by: his daughters, Kimberley Garza (and husband Rudy) of Sweet Home and Deborah Geiger (and her fiancé David Shrader) of Jefferson; grandchildren, Christopher Pinto, Utansi Garza, Delinah Tollison, Denny Tollison, and Dwayne Tollison; four great grandchildren; and brother, Tom Chapman (and wife Carol) of Lake Isabella, California. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A viewing will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 17, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 18, at Gilliland Cemetery.
