Donald “Steve” Bennett, 78, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021. He was born to Donald William and Margaret Bennett.

Steve retired from the US Navy with over 20 years of service. He loved family, friends, anything outdoors (camping, fishing, gardening, motorcycles), Native American crafts and pow-wows, electronics and model trains, western dance, wrestling, zombies and B-movies.

He shared his love of life and is survived by hundreds of family and friends whom his jovial heart and quick wit continues to impact. He was the most generous, kind, loving, non-judgmental and caring husband and father the world has ever known.

Steve leaves behind his loved and loving wife, Evelyn “Patty” Margaret Bennett; sons, Jeffery and Donald; daughters, Donna Bergman, Karla Burton and Debra Strong; brothers, Jerry, Robert, and Joe Glasscock; sister Tamara Balk; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Margaret Bennett; brother, Walter Bennett; and daughter, Dorinda Baker.

Private services were held at Willamette National Cemetery.
