Dixie Lee Samson, 61, of Sweet Home, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025. She was born December 5, 1963, to Earl William Jr., and Jessie Kiwanis (Hauser) Davis in Torrence, California.

She moved to Sweet Home in 1970 with her family. She attended Sweet Home schools and graduated from Sweet Home High School.

Dixie loved animals and worked at a dog grooming business at one point. When she was younger she rode a pony in local parades. She loved and admired her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Jessica Pickle of Albany and son Dallas Samson of Sweet Home; father Earl W. Davis Jr of Sweet Home; sisters: Bobbi Sue Whitener of Texas, Kandy Thornbrough of Sweet Home, Penny Moore of Arizona; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Jessie Davis (2024).
