David Allan Jewell, 63, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Thursday, November 30. He was born in Lebanon to Doile Howard “Red” and Molly Mae (Carter) Jewell.

He was raised in Sweet Home until he enlisted in the United States Army in 1972. He served in the United States Army HHC, 9th Division, as a 15th Combat Engineer BN (E4). He was stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington until 1975, then returned to Sweet Home.

Allan was an AMVETS Post 13 Member and Commander. He assisted with Double D. Karaoke for ten years.

He worked at Willamette Industries and Weyerhaeuser for 32 years.

Allan was a master exterior illuminator for holiday lights. He loved camping, hunting, livestock, projects, fundraising, and anything with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie (Lannom) Jewell; children Kimi (Jewell) and her husband, Cortney Nash, of Sweet Home, and Jeremy Jewell and his wife, Stacey, of Sweet Home; three granddaughters; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 8, at Sweet Home Elks Lodge.
