Cletus E. Ray, age 85, of Brownsville, passed away Friday. He was born in Lebanon, Oregon to Victor E. and Georgann (Clem) Ray.

Cletus was an Army Paratrooper and served in the WWII. He married Helen Fields on September 4, 1950 in Reno, Nevada. They resided in Crawfordsville most of their 57 years of marriage. He was a retired Supervisor from the Linn County Road Department in Sweet Home.

Cletus love to hunt, fish, garden and to go camping with his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, Helen, of Crawfordsville; two daughters: Catherine Haney and husband, Lyle, of Sweet Home, and Jan Lowen and husband, Vince, of Lebanon; two grandsons: Steven Haney and wife, Angela, of Albany, and David Haney and wife, Melissa, of Corvallis; and great grandchildren, Roxanne and Joseph Haney of Albany.

Cletus was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
