Christine Marie Tiffany Smith, 29, of Albany, OR (formerly of Sweet Home) passed away Monday, January 27, 2014. She was born in Orange, Texas to Kirk and Roxanne (Hageness) Smith.

She moved to Sweet Home in 1987 at the age of three. Christine attended school in Sweet Home and graduated with honors in 2002. She graduated from the International Air Academy in 2004.

Most of Christine’s employment was with customer service in the restaurant industry. She was a member of Riverside Christian Church in Sweet Home and loved teaching the young children in Sunday school. Her compassion for others compelled her to grow her hair and donate it to Locks of Love. Christine loved the Oregon Jamboree and attended all of its concerts since its inception.

She enjoyed being in Girl Scouts (K-8th grade). Her love of cookie sales won her top sales girl two years in a row. Christine was extremely active in sports, excelling and lettering in water polo, swim team, and track and field for four years. She spent several years in Tae Kwon Do and achieved status of red belt. Collecting Beanie Babies was also her passion.

Christine is survived by: her three-year-old daughter, Amaya Pollick, of Sweet Home; mother Roxane Smith of Sandy, Utah; brother James and his wife Alex of Sweet Home; sister Nyree and her husband Chris Kowalski of Mary Ester, Florida; grandfather Blair Smith of Sweet Home; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, most of whom live in the Sweet Home area.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kirk Smith, in 2011 and her grandmother, Beaulah “Dittie” Smith.
