Caleb Frank Simonis

Due to the social distancing requirements of Covid-19 the family will hold a “Drive By” time to drop off a card or wave at Jim, Amy and Kylee, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm Saturday June 27th at Central Linn High School in Halsey. A private graveside service will be held in July at Gilliland Cemetery. The Simonis family is thankful for all those that have reached out during this time.

On May 23, 2020, Caleb Frank Simonis, age 19, son of Jim and Amy (Heath) Simonis passed away with his younger sister, Shelby Rose Simonis in a fatal car crash.

Caleb graduated from Sweet Home High School in June 2018 and was currently studying automotive mechanics at Linn Benton Community College

Growing up, Caleb was actively involved in 4-H and Boy Scouts. He showed cattle and hogs in 4-H. In Boy Scouts he loved camping and high adventure. Recently, he had joined a group of avid Jeep lovers where he was able to spend time with friends, enjoying his favorite ride. Caleb had a quiet strength and never looked for the spotlight, but preferred to let it shine on his sisters. You rarely saw Caleb without his sisters. They were each other’s best friends. He will be missed by many friends and beloved animals. He was a loyal son, brother and friend.

Caleb is survived by his parents James Todd Simonis and Amy Michelle Simonis along with his younger sister Kylee Anne Simonis. He is also survived by grandparents, Larry Heath and Suzanne Simonis. Caleb was preceded in death by grandparents James Theodore Simonis and JoAnne Heath.
