Betty Jean Thomas, 87, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Monday, November 10. She was born in Myrtle Point to Stanley PeeWee and Minnie C. (Elbel) Cupinski.

She lived in the Cascadia and Sweet Home area since 1965.

Betty enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking, old western movies, and walking. She loved fishing, mountains, waterfalls, and especially being around family.

She is survived by: son Barry Thomas, and his wife, Carrie, of Sweet Home; son Bryce A. Thomas of Kings Canyon, Colorado; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Thomas, in 2008, two sisters, and three brothers.

Viewing will be at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, November 15, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Final burial will take place at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
