Amelia A. Burns, age 85, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday. She was born in California to Mario and Maria Minolli.

Amelia married Leland Frank Stone, a Master Chief in the US Air Force, and they lived in Puerto Rico and Florida. They later divorced.

She later married John Wagasky. John and Amelia combined families and had two sons while living in California. They eventually moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where John was a lineman for the telephone company and Amelia was a PBX operator at the Dessert Inn Hotel and Casino. They later separated.

Years later, Amelia married Joe Burns, an engineer at the Desert Inn Hotel and Casino. In 1979, they moved to Beryl, Utah for their retirement.

Amelia loved bowling, golf, gardening, and flowers in her youth. She raised a lot of children. She enjoyed teaching and making ceramics. When she was older, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cooking, and baking. She spent time volunteering at the Senior Center.

Amelia is survived by children, Louise Stone, Frank Stone, David Wagasky Burns, Dominic Wagasky Burns, Danny Wagasky, and Terisa Tilton; 16 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Damion Wagasky.
