Virginia Mae Ewing, 99, passed away on July 30,2026. She was born in Yakima, WA to Elmer Wiley Forquer and Alta Hilda Posey. She lived most of her life in Sweet Home.

During World War II Virginia and many women her age stepped up and contributed to the War effort by working where needed, and for her that was by working at Willamette Foster Plywood Mill for many years. Her children and others called her a Pioneer in many ways throughout her life to the very end of her life.

On March 31,1951 Virginia married Raymond Ewing, and together they raised their family in Sweet Home. They were well known local farmers. They grew green beans and strawberries for the canneries for many years, until the farm was a U-Pick field for a variety of fruits and vegetables. Many good memories with customers and friends. For the Family they gave love, memories, gatherings and pride – a home where children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were always welcome.

Virginia is survived by her four children all of Sweet Home: Daughters: Marlene White (Lee), Mary Jo Williams, Tobi Hazlewood (Chris); Son, James Ewing; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, including a great-great-grandson on the way; Sister, Dorthy Lanning and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ewing, parents Wiley and Alta Forquer, brothers: Irvin Forquer, Richard Forquer and Seth Forquer; Sisters: Grace McCoy and Shirley Engeman. She will be remembered for her Love, Strength, Kindness and her Devotion to her Family.

No Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice – Albany OR. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. www.sweethomefuneral.com.

Julie Ann Loop (Ellison), passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, at the age of 58, surrounded by the love of her family.

Julie was born on June 23, 1968, in Albany, Oregon, and made her home in Sweet Home, Oregon. She dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.

She is survived by her loving husband, Glen Loop; her daughters, Sherrie and Tracey; her cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Ezra, Anthony, Jonathan, and Skyler; and her siblings, Steven and Linda. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Bill, and her siblings, Christine, Patty, Deborah, and Ronnie.

Julie found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved rock hounding, camping, and spending time with those she loved, especially on trips to the river. Her greatest joy was being with her family, making memories that will be treasured forever.

She will be remembered for her kind and generous heart, her wonderful sense of humor, and her willingness to help anyone in need. Julie loved deeply and lived fully, leaving an impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her warmth, laughter, and unconditional love will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in the countless memories she gave us and the love she shared so freely. She will be forever missed, forever loved, and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Pavilion in Pioneer Park, Brownsville, Oregon. Family and friends are invited to join us as we gather to honor Julie's life, share memories, and celebrate the love she gave so freely.
