Wilma Lorene Bright, 94, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday. She was born in Stratton, Colorado to Lester and Florence Fitzsimmons (Wood).

Wilma married James Bright August 12, 1951 in Reedsport. They moved to Willits, California and then on to Red Bluff, California, where they resided for many years. They retired in Sweet Home in the fall of 1981.

She loved knitting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing, gardening, camping, fishing and writing letters.

Wilma is survived by sister Avis Murphy of Scottsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Bright; parents Lester and Florence Wood; and sister Clara May Kennedy.

Viewing will be 11:00 am – 12:45 pm, Monday, April 3rd at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 1:00pm. Final burial will be at Gilliland Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made in her name to St Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriners Children’s.
