Virginia Lee Thomas, 81, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Sunday, June 25. She was born in Salem to Maurice and Gertrude (DeVoe) Elford.

She married Harold Thomas in Salem in 1956. They lived in the Sweet Home area during the 1960s, and then returned in 1989 for good.

Virginia enjoyed her yard and visiting the Oregon Coast. She loved sewing, knitting, embroidery, and crocheting.

She had a dislike of nearly all politicians.

Virginia is survived by sons Gary, Richard, Danny, and Scott Thomas; and daughter Gayle Windhurst.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Thomas, in 1993.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 7, at Lewis Cemetery.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
