Velma Dee Easling, 98, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Sunday, December 3. She was born in Kenwood, Oklahoma to Vernie M. and Annie (Richards) Bales.
She was raised in Oklahoma, but spent most of her life in Oregon. She married William Quinton Easling on June 2, 1937 in Venita, Oklahoma.
Velma enjoyed flowers, quilting, and anything with a needle and thread.
She is survived by children William D. Easling and his wife, Patsy, of Kenai, Alaska, Wanda and her husband, Ken Dahlin, of Sweet Home, Charles “Bud” Easling and his wife, Sandy, of Eatonville, Washington, Velma Jean and her husband, Ken “Topper” Buss, of Tillamook, Shirley and her husband, Jack Smith, of Florence; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 35 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Quinton Easling; five brothers; three sisters; one grandchild; and two great-great-grandchildren.
