Teresa Lois Mausen, 91, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Friday, January 4, 2019. She was born in Sheridan to Joseph Rock LaChance and Alvina Parker.

She came to Sweet Home in 1955 and attended one year at Sweet Home High School.

Teresa worked as a seasonal cannery worker and enjoyed being a homemaker and crocheting. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church.

Teresa is survived by children Stephen and wife, Sharyl Miller, of Salem, Kathleen DeWitt and her significant other, Timothy Thayer, of Albany; Mausen step-children Madelyn, Nicholas, Mark, Timothy, Diane, John, and Julie; also extended family Billy, Barbara, Megan, Erika, Jessica, and Dakota Snow; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husbands Alex Miller (1971), LeRoy G. Smith (1983), and Nicholas Mausen (2013); sisters Veronica Mollenhour and Josephine Warren; and half-brothers Theodore, Melvin, and Eugene LaChance.

A viewing will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, at St Helen Catholic Church in Sweet Home. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made in Teresa’s name to St. Helen Women’s Club, 600 Sixth Ave., Sweet Home, OR 97386.
